Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 14, 2026
Important Notice
Please read these Terms of Service carefully before purchasing, installing, or using the RoninArmor platform, server agent, Web Application Firewall (WAF), or management dashboard. By creating an account, buying a license, or installing our agent on your server, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you represent a company, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these terms on behalf of that company.
1. Service Description and Operational Model
RoninArmor provides server security software delivered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. The service includes the following components:
| Service Component | Operational Description |
|---|---|
| Server Agent Daemon | A background software module installed on your Linux server that inspects incoming web traffic, blocks attacks, and scans local files for malware. |
| Cloud Control Panel | A centralized web dashboard where you manage server licenses, configure security rules, view attack history, and submit support tickets. |
| Threat Intelligence Feed | Automated cloud updates that push real-time firewall rules, malicious IP blacklists, and updated malware signatures directly to your server. |
| Right to Update Features | Because cyber threats change constantly, we reserve the right to modify, improve, or replace features in our software at any time to keep servers secure. |
2. Account Registration and Security
When registering and maintaining your account with RoninArmor, you agree to the following obligations:
| Requirement | Customer Obligation |
|---|---|
| Accurate Information | You must provide genuine, up-to-date business contact details. Accounts registered using fake identities or temporary disposable emails will be closed immediately. |
| Two-Factor Authentication | To protect your server infrastructure, you are strongly advised and required to enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on your billing and management portal. |
| Credential Responsibility | You are fully responsible for any actions taken through your account, including API key creation and server deployments. If your credentials are compromised, you must notify us within 24 hours. |
3. Billing, Renewals, and Refund Policy
RoninArmor licenses are billed on a recurring subscription basis (monthly or annually):
| Billing Terms | Details and Policies |
|---|---|
| Subscription Tiers | Fees depend on your server environment (e.g., VPS vs. Dedicated Server) and the number of active servers or accounts protected. |
| Automatic Renewal | Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle using the payment method on file. You can cancel at any time at least 3 business days before your renewal date. |
| Refund Policy | All completed subscription payments are strictly non-refundable once an active license key has been generated, except where mandated by applicable consumer protection laws. |
| Late Payment & Suspension | If automatic payment fails on the invoice due date, a 3-day grace period is provided. If payment is still unpaid after 3 days, the license will be suspended, which pauses real-time firewall updates and agent scanning. |
4. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)
You must use RoninArmor only for lawful security purposes. You agree not to do any of the following:
| Prohibited Action | Legal Restriction |
|---|---|
| No Reverse Engineering | You may not decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, modify, or attempt to extract the source code or proprietary detection rules of RoninArmor. |
| No License Bypassing | Any attempt to bypass license checks, emulate our licensing servers, or use cracked keys will result in immediate termination and permanent blacklisting of your servers. |
| Illegal Server Use | You may not install RoninArmor on servers used for malicious activities, including botnets, command-and-control servers, outbound DDoS attacks, phishing sites, or distributing illegal materials. |
5. Important: Automated Malware Cleanup & Backups
Please Read Carefully Before Enabling Auto-Cleanup
RoninArmor includes an automated malware cleanup feature designed to remove injected malicious code, web shells, and backdoors from your server. Because modern malware frequently injects itself directly into genuine application files (such as WordPress or custom PHP scripts), automatic removal may occasionally break an application or delete modified files.
You acknowledge and agree that RoninArmor is not liable for broken websites, application downtime, or lost data resulting from automated cleanup actions. You are strictly required to keep regular, independent backups of your server files and databases.
6. Service Level Agreement (SLA) & Uptime
We strive to provide dependable, continuous protection for your server fleet:
| SLA Standard | Commitment and Policy |
|---|---|
| 99.9% Cloud Uptime | We aim for 99.9% monthly availability for our cloud management panel and threat update APIs. This SLA excludes network downtime within your own hosting provider's data center. |
| Maintenance Windows | Routine scheduled maintenance is announced at least 24 hours in advance. Urgent security hotfixes to stop active global exploits may be applied immediately without advance notice. |
| Service Credits | If our cloud systems fail to meet the 99.9% uptime target in any given month, you may request a pro-rated service credit extension for your license, capped at a maximum of 15 days of service. |
7. Technical Support Scope
Our technical support team is available to assist you with software-related issues:
- What We Support: Agent installation help, scanner configuration, firewall rule tuning, false positive whitelisting, and troubleshooting RoninArmor software errors.
- What Is Excluded: Rebuilding damaged databases from past hacks that happened before installing RoninArmor, custom Linux kernel compiling, third-party panel troubleshooting (like cPanel, Plesk, CyberPanel), or general server administration unrelated to our software.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The RoninArmor platform and server agents are provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
No cybersecurity software can guarantee 100% protection against every attack, exploit, zero-day threat, or hardware failure. We do not guarantee that our software will be entirely uninterrupted, error-free, or immune to emerging security vulnerabilities.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, RoninArmor and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages. This includes lost profits, lost business opportunities, downtime losses, or file corruption.
Our total combined financial liability to you for any dispute arising from or related to these Terms of Service will never exceed the total subscription fees you actually paid to RoninArmor for the affected software license during the 12 (twelve) months before the event occurred.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Service and any related disputes will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the each country.
If any disagreement or claim arises between you and RoninArmor, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the issue amicably through good-faith discussion for at least 30 days.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms of Service occasionally to reflect updates to our services or changes in legal regulations. If we make significant changes that affect your rights, we will notify you at least 30 days before the changes take effect by email or through an alert in your client portal. Continuing to use the software after that date means you accept the updated terms.
